Updating a Traffic Policy

Once you have created a traffic policy, you can modify it with different settings. When you modify a traffic policy, you can also change it to a different type. For example, you started with a Static Policy, but now would like to switch to Dynamic Policy to optimize performance.

To update a traffic policy:

  1. Navigate to your service.
  2. In the sidebar, under Traffic Steering, select Traffic Policies.
  3. Identify the policy you would like to update, and click on the Edit icon.

Deleting a Traffic Policy

If a traffic policy is no longer needed, you can delete it. Once a traffic policy for a specific geo is deleted, the settings which will be applied for these geo will be taken from a wider geo. For example, assume you have traffic policies for France and Europe, and you would like to delete the traffic policy for France. In this case, once the policy for France is deleted, the Europe policy will be applied for traffic in France.

To delete a traffic policy:

  1. Navigate to your service.
  2. In the sidebar, under Traffic Steering, select Traffic Policies.
  3. Identify the policy you would like to update, and click on the Delete icon.
