Creating a Monitor

You can create both performance & availability monitors to monitor your traffic. You can have multiple monitors per each service. Each monitor tests a single URL from hundreds of locations around the world. Monitors check the performance & availability for all CDN providers in the service from all locations, regardless the defined traffic policies. You can then view the monitoring results over time.

To create a monitor for your service:

  1. Navigate to your service.
  2. On the sidebar, choose Monitors.
  3. Click on the Add Monitor button.
  4. Fiil the new monitor form:
    • Type - Select the type of monitor: Availability or Performance.
    • Name - Type the monitor name.
    • URL - Type the URL to monitor - note that the URL must match on the service domains.
  5. Click on Save.

Once created, the new monitor will show up in the list of monitors. You can then navigate to the Availability or Performance tab, and view the monitoring results. In addition, monitors can be used when Creating a Traffic Policy.
