Domains Overview

Domain is the hostname which will be used by end-users to access your content, for example, if you have a website https://www.example.com, the domain name of your website is www.example.com. When you create a service you are asked to provide a domain for your service. After the service is created, you can define additional domains for your service. When you define a domain, you need to make sure that the domain name you are adding has a matching certificate which you previously created. For more information about certificates, see the Managing Certificates page. When you add a domain, and you have multiple origins, you also need to define a domain mapping, i.e., how traffic should be routed from the domain to origins.

Prerequisites

Before starting to work with domains, you need to have the following:

  • IO River Service - You can follow these steps to create a service.
